Yeakey's Calamity Jane
October 2019 litter has arrived!
SOLD OUT
Our fall litter has arrived!
Jane had three puppies, 3 girls - two flash black tris and one parti blue merle.
All of these puppies had deposits on prior to birth.
Mom, Jane, is a registered Miniature Australian Shepherd, however she only measures 13 inches, so technically she is still considered a large toy. She can have pups that range from teacup to miniature in size. She has a medium length coat. Jane is a homozygous red merle with one blue eye. Jane has been panel tested and is a carrier for two of the genetic diseases...however as long as she is bred to a male that is 100% clear the puppies will not have the disease. This is why it is so important to test!
Dad, Wyatt, is an 11 inch tall registered Toy Australian Shepherd. He is a golden eyed, red factored, black tri and is 100% clear for the entire genetic panel. Red factored means he can produce red colored puppies. He also has a pricked ear(upright), which means that puppies could have a pricked ear as well. He is very dainty and elegant. Just a beautiful dog. "Y" has that long wispy hair coat that our buyers love so much....because it is less likely to mat. We do not like a double thick undercoat, because they require so much more care.
Both parents are loyal lap dogs, who have strong herding instincts, they love to fetch and are excellent protectors of our home and farm. They bark when anyone comes on to the property and will hold the trespasser till we call them off.
We are often asked about how are they will kids. IF you raise them with kids and teach kids to be respectful they do well. I've had nothing but good reports from families with kids. We have not raised them with kids, so I have to watch them. Kids who are not taught respect and who get rough with this breed, can get bit.

Below are products we use here at My Toy Aussie. Often I will recommend specific products for two reasons - quality construction and protection of your home. These products are also already familiar to your new puppy and may ease their transition from our home to yours.
The EZwhelp pads are washable and come in several sizes and shapes: square, rectangle and round. We use them in the big Pet Mate Courtyard exercise kennel and as pee/whelping pads. I purchased two and will swap them out when I clean. When you visit our home, you'll notice I have the largest size pad in the middle of my living room. I also have one in the tray in the bottom of our large whelping kennel. They are useful to put by the back door also...just in case of an accident during the potty training process.
For crating at night and when we are away for short periods, I have purchased MidWest iCrates. This crate has served us well over the past 5 years due to its quality construction. I like the Padded Pet Bolster Beds to use in the iCrate, because they too are washable. I wash them weekly in warm water. I recommend washing them on the delicate cycle in your washing machine. They should last a couple of years.
